Rainbow Parties with Sewickley Residents - Halloween Style!
Group

On Saturday, October 17, 2009, Rainbow Assemblies from the Pittsburgh area converged on the Masonic Village at Sewickley to bring some frightful to the residents.

Young ladies from New Castle Assembly No. 1, Irwin Assembly No. 42, Pitcairn Assembly No. 90, Faith Assembly No. 150, Hope Assembly No. 186, and Beaver Valley Assembly No. 187 came in their Halloween costumes ready for some fun!

Side

The young ladies escorted residents to and from the Assembly Room, resulting over 70 residents attending! The members also decorted the room and adjoining hallways for the party as well as greeted each resident during the Halloween Parade. To keep spirits light the Sisters also shared Halloween jokes, sang Halloween Carols, and had a special reading of "Twas the Night Before Halloween" by Mrs. Helen Snedden, Supreme Deputy for Pennsyvlania.

There was some confusion however, as residents and members alike were unable to distinguish the real Mrs. Snedden. It seems that Sister Kaitlin N. used this Halloween opportunity to dress as the Supreme Deputy (and in a pretty convincing fashion too!)

All in all, the residents and young women had a great time entertaining and getting to know each other. It was another wonderful event with PA Rainbow!
