On Saturday, October 24th, 2009, the Masonic Village at Sewickley recognized the outstanding volunteer work of the young ladies of Rainbow. In what has become a Rainbow tradition, 10 young ladies from 6 different Assemblies were bestowed traditional "nurses" caps or certificates for their volunteer service to the Masonic Village.
Five members were given certificates for giving at least fifteen hours of service to the facility. In addition, two volunteers were given their caps for 25 hours of service. Not to be out done however, three girls received an orange stripe on their cap for providing no less than 75 hours of service!
The ceremony was made extra special by the presence of Mrs. Shirley B. Capo and Mr. Harvey F. Fishel, Worthy Grand Matron and Worthy Grand Patron of the Grand Chapter of the Order of the Easter Star in Pennsylvania, respectively.
Congratulations to the young women who have put in countless hours serving and entertaining those who provide for them! |
