Aurora Assembly (LT) Instituted in Waymart
Group

On January 23, 2010, Aurora Assembly LT No. 189 was instituted January 23, 2010 in Waymart, PA. With 150 people looking on, and under the direction of Mrs. Helen Snedden, Supreme Deptuy, the ceremony was both beautiful and moving.

However, before you can have an Institution, you have to have some members. Never fear, for PA Rainbow as on the job, bringing an Initiation to Warymart, PA. Performing the work of Worthy Advisor was Sis. Danielle Dunmire, Grand Worthy Advisor, along with Grand Officers from around the state. Joining that day were 14 young ladies who will form the initial group of members of the Assembly. The Assembly will meet on the first and third Thursdays of each month, with Mrs. Heather Hess as Mother Advisor.

Support for this day was phenomenal, with a large contingent of both Master Masons and Eastern Star Members present. Participating in the ceremony were Mr. Charles Grimm, District Deputy Grand Master of District 14, and Mrs. Carol Hunt, acting Worthy Matron. The Assembly will be sponsored by Warymart Lodge No. 542 and Laurel Chapter No. 67, Order of the Eastern Star. To help get the new Assembly started Mr. and Mrs. Wendell Hunt present the young ladies with a large Altar Bible.

So, why the name Aurora? The young ladies chose the name Aurora thinking of Aurora Borealis, the Northern Lights. The Northern Lights are luminous arches of evening lights in the Northern hempisphere which range colors of red to violet a fitting Rainbow of colors! Aurora also just happens to be the name of the Greek goddess of dawn, which makes the name all that much more suitable for the dawn of a new Assembly.
