Irwin Rainbow Supports Grand Master Sturgeon
Group

On February 3, 2010, Right Worshipful Grand Master Thomas K. Sturgeon visited Irwin to speak with the members of Masonic Districts 30 and 49 on the 21st Century Masonic Renaissance. Included in the audience were members and parents from Irwin Assembly No. 42, Rainbow Girls, the Greensburg Club of Job’s Daughters and Westmoreland Chapter, DeMolay International.

The Grand Master spoke of the importance of Youth Programs and how the lodges in Districts 30 and 49 have been great supporters of Masonic youth. 30th District Deputy Grand Master, Rodney E. Boyce, introduced each of the youth groups and the large gathering received them with an enthusiastic ovation. The Grand Master spoke about the importance of our youth to the future of Freemasonry.

Grand Master Sturgeon has asked every lodge to become more involved in public service. Each of the youth groups is committed to public service and will continue to be active in their communities. In addition, each of the youth groups participates in joint activities with the district Lodges to perform several community service activities and fundraisers.  A very long and prosperous relationship has been enjoyed between area Masons and the youth groups and an even brighter future lays ahead!
